Overview

At Cotswold Screen Printers Ltd we have a range of specialist cutting equipment in order to accurately cut and finish printed orders prior to assembly.

Generally we use two main technologies – a flatbed digital cutting system, and a laser cutting system – which enable us to produce smooth and accurate cutting to 0.1mm tolerance dependant on materials used.

Laser Cutting

Laser cutting offers the ability to cut complex shapes and designs both quickly and efficiently out of many substrates of a variety of thicknesses, therefore enabling us to achieve a high-quality finish to your product. Lasers are ideally suited to cutting flat sheet materials, and this is one of the methods we may use when cutting adhesives, paper, plastics, acrylics, and wood during production.

  • Advantages of Laser Cutting

  • Efficient and consistent cutting of substrates
  • High degree of repeatability
  • High-quality smooth finish to cut edges
  • Flexibility of run lengths
  • Economic cutting for short runs
  • Low setup and tooling costs, allowing quick turnaround where necessary

Flatbed Digital Cutting

Our camera guided Digital Flatbed Cutting System works in partnership with our Laser Cutter and enables us to cut a wide range of shapes and substrates to a high degree of accuracy, quickly and efficiently.

Flatbed digital cutting facilities are ideally suited to many industrial applications including the cutting of Polycarbonate overlays and labels, Polyesters, PTFE, Cork, Foam Rubber, Gaskets, and Seals.

By using a combination of the above cutting systems we offer a comprehensive range of precision cutting for most materials, allowing us to provide professional, consistent, and accurate cutting with a high degree of repeatability.
