Overview

At Cotswold Screen Printers we have a dedicated Pad Printing Department (also known as Cliche or Tampo printing), specialising in printing on 3D objects and uneven surfaces. This enables printing to be achieved on awkwardly shaped, and very small components which can otherwise be difficult to print such as switches, lenses and buttons, and produces excellent results on a wide range of substrates.

Pad printing uses the same / similar inks to screen printing and therefore produces a print with good opacity, clarity and durability. This is vital, as many pad printed objects receive repeated handling after printing and therefore must not erase with wear and tear.

  • Suitable print surfaces

  • Cylindrical
  • Compound angles
  • Concave and convex
  • Smooth and textured
  • Most types of metals and plastics
  • Coated paper

Applications

Pad printing is suitable for many applications where the surface we are printing upon is not flat, and therefore cannot be screen printed such as:

  • Small caps, switches and lenses
  • Medical devices
  • Industrial components parts
  • Mouldings
  • Many other curved or shaped products
Once set up Pad Printing is suitable for long and short print runs.
